PTI 2014 STAMP-A-FAIRE – CHALLENGE #12
I love the ads in the 1960’s Never has ads ever been so clear about what society was at that time. The sexism of the races, the embracing of the space age, the use of symbols and the use of colors.
But what I remember was my Grandmothers cocktail glasses. She had these glasses in her china cabinet that held a fastination with us kids. The glass had a woman in a wedding dress and when you added something cold to the glass, her wedding dress would disappear and she would be wearing sexy undergarments. LOL. As kids were thought that was cool. It was sooooo 1960’s. My Mother also had cocktail glasses, clear or frosted glasses with gold space age designs in the glass. How cool was that. I tried to recreate the glass in this card, with the gold symbols in some velumn.
